Every Life

The story behind the song

"Every Life" closes the album by looking back rather than forward. The artwork gathers up threads from earlier in the record, the water kefir jar, the germinating seeds, the tenderstem broccoli, the chickpea quiz, around Beau curled up on an armchair, with a small plaque reading "every life is important" propped beside him.

It's less a science track than a thank-you note: the closing sentiment of an album about plant-based eating is, fittingly, about every life rather than any single nutrient. Beau gets the last word, by way of barking vocals.
